MacDuff 1890 are a meat wholesaler based in Scotland and are passionate about supporting the economic and social development of native breeds and the environment surrounding them.
They are constantly growing their range of suppliers and products and recently expanded the product range from just beef/lamb to include mutton and rare breed pigs. Alongside the core producer group of farms who supply native cattle breeds weekly, they also source from a range of animals that are currently on the RBST watchlist – including the White Park, Native Aberdeen Angus, Boreray and North Ronaldsay, from farms across Scotland
They promote awareness for these breeds through their high-end butchers and top-end chefs and post daily on social media with every product they promote being fully traceable.
They also started hosting events last year and these have included a tasting event using Boreray and Castlemilk Moorit mutton giving guests get the chance to meet and hear from the farmers and producers themselves.
